Si lo falso se repite sin que nadie le descubra la mentira, lo falso se convierte en verdadero; y, de la misma manera, lo que no se dice, o lo que se esconde, deja de existir. Adulterar y mentir sobre la realidad, la historia y la cultura es una de las armas más poderosas del totalitarismo marxista-leninista, y se ha usado, y se usa por el gobierno de Cuba para someter al pueblo y engañar al extranjero interesado en los asuntos del país. Sólo así se explica su cobarde censura de la opinión divergente y la furia oficial contra la disidencia interna.

Esta Página Web quiere ofrecer una visión objetiva de los temas que en ellas se tratan, y concluye con una bibliografía que informa sobre la publicación original de cuanto aquí se recoge.

FOREWORD

If falsehoods are repeated and no one reveals them to be lies, the falsehoods are seen as truths. In the same way, what is left unsaid or is hidden from view ceases to exist. Distortion and lies about Cuban life, history and culture are among the most powerful weapons that the island's totalitarian, Marxist-Leninist government has used, and continues to use. The regime's widespread use of censorship and official retaliation against dissidents are the most obvious signs that the government cannot tolerate any attempt to challenge the misinformation that it serves up both locally, to Cuban society, and to interested observers from abroad.

The reader will find here a different, objective view on a variety of topics involving Cuba. A bibliography of the original published versions of the works offered here is included at the end of this Web Page.
